The Difference Between Merrowed & Heat Cut
Merrowed Edge
A merrowed edge on a custom embroidered patch is created using a stitched thread the whole way around the border of your design. This option is ideal for simple shapes such as circles or squares
Hot Cut Edge
A hot cut edge on embroidered patches is created by using a machined hot knife to cut around the border which also seals the stitching at the same time. This type of edging is recommended for more detailed and intricate shapes.
